Managing Change

How does change in society and technology come about? What is the role of science, knowledge and innovations, of institutions, social movements and culture? How do all of these factors interact? Tricky questions…

I work with clients who believe in the need to understand and manage change processes in society. While we might not have the final answer to all of the questions above, we can do better to at least ask the right questions. My role has been to assist change actors in gradually unpacking the change problematique in diverse fields such as global transport research, urban governance, and water resource management. Clients are research organisations, development agencies, and private companies.
